Recently, the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons acquired the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Arthroplasty (JSEA) title from Sage Publishing. JSEA will join the JSES Family of Journals and will now be published by Elsevier. JSEA is indexed on Medline, which will allow much greater access and visibility to published articles, compared to Seminars in Arthroplasty: JSES, which is not indexed. Ted Blaine and Michael Wiater will serve as of Editors-in-Chief of JSEA, while Bill Mallon will take over as Editor-in-Chief of Seminars in Arthroplasty: JSES on a temporary basis.
Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Arthroplasty is now live on Editorial Manager and is ready to accept new author submissions. The URL of the Editorial Manager site is: https://www.editorialmanager.com/jsea/default.aspx. Please note that your login details will be the same as your login details for JSES.
Our goal is for JSEA to become our primary journal for arthroplasty research. During the coming year, we plan to transition Seminars in Arthroplasty: JSES to a rehab, therapy, and performance journal. However, we will still be accepting articles for Seminars on all shoulder and elbow topics for the foreseeable future.
